In this day and age to find someone who does not have some kind of technological device is like finding someone with a rare genetic difference. But when you do find someone like this it does make you wonder a few things.
One: how do they function in a world where everything is so dependent on technology? Two: Do I really need to be as tied to my technological devices as I am? Three: Is there something wrong with them or something wrong with me?
Unfortunately these questions aren't very useful because there are even more reasons why people don't have computers, or a Toshiba laptop or the latest Apple gadget. For some people these devices are simply out of the budget and so they use internet cafes or the computers at work, school or university.
For others it is a conscious choice to at least have a part of their life that does not revolve around computers or TV or the internet. This may seem radical to some of us, but at the end of the day we are all entitled to spend our time as we choose.
For some this means surfing the internet for hours; for others it means sitting on the couch with a good book and cup of tea. We all have our own preferences.
